Andrea Bowen (born Andrea Bowen) is an American actor. She started her career in Broadway musicals, including Les Miserables as well as The Sound of Music. She was first cast as the role of Julie Mayer in the ABC comedy drama series Desperate Housewives. This role was played regularly until in 2008. Julie Alexandra Mayer, the oldest child of Susan Delfino & Karl Mayer. Julie Mayer, who was Susan Delfino's youngest child when she was born at the time of the birth of her daughter, seemed to be an ideal fit for their family. As a young girl she cooked and cleaned and also give tips on dating to Susan. Andrea Bowen's character Amy was featured in the episode The only thing I'd like for Christmas is You, an episode of Station 19 episode from season 5. Andrea Majanik Bowen and Melanie Somjen Frazer were married on the grounds of St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church located on Capitol Hill in Washington. Rev. Frank Dunn performed the ceremony. Bowen is a victim of the heart condition bradycardia: her regular heartbeat is below normal. Because of this, she's had a heart pacemaker since her early adulthood. Bowen got married to Scott Phillips a real estate investor and software developer on the 9th of September, 2004.
